The Great American Bash has come and gone and now it’s one day later...what happened on Raw you might ask? Well, here goes… Batista is in the middle of the ring to start the show. Blah, blah, blah, “I want a match against you Punk because it wasn’t fair Kane interfered in our match at GAB.” So Batista says he’s in charge tonight and will get his match tonight. JBL comes on the titantron and says no, you don’t deserve it. I won my match at the PPV and should get a match for the title against Punk. Punk comes out, has JBL muted and agrees to have a title match tonight against Batista for later in the evening. Lance Cade in a match against jabroni Paul London-crowd was chanting, “Lets go London.” (not for very long though) Cade was also yelling, “Come on Shaun!” Powerbomb by Cade. London of course lost. Jericho comes out after the match. Jericho says Shaun will not be there. They show some of the match from the pay per view. Lots of blood on Shaun and getting his tail whipped by Jericho and the ref stopping the match. Back to Jericho, “Everything that you saw happen at GAB is on all your hands (meaning the crowd and the fans) he is paying for your sins. Shaun Michaels’ career is over. I have no remorse whatsoever. You all ignored me and booed me when I returned to the WWE. I have grown up but none of you have. I’m proud of what I did. I now consider myself saved.” So there ya have it with Jericho and his reason for kicking the crap out of HBK. Clip from last Monday night with Santino losing to Beth Phoenix. Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix. Lots of yelling by Kelly. Trust me friends it was tough to watch-glad I had mute on my television. Thank you Beth for whipping her butt fairly quickly. Just because Kelly looks good in her outfits doesn’t mean she can wrestle, nuff said on that one. A return match from last Monday night with Cena and Cryme Tyme taking on JBL and Rhodes and Dibiase is up next. Before it starts Hacksaw Jim Duggan comes out and says he wants to hang up his wrestling boots. He was thinking about what Rhodes and Dibiase said last week. It’s a young man’s world, he just wanted to say thanks for 30 years of fun. The King interrupts Duggan and tells him there is no age limit in the WWE. As long as you are passionate about what you do you can do it for as long as you want. USA! USA! Chant throughout the arena. Do you really want to give that up? Asks Jerry. Hacksaw says no I don’t. Rhodes and Dibiase come to the ring. Dibiase chimes in and berates Jerry with a lot of facts about showing him his age and more or less says he’s too old as well. Jerry in turn slaps Rhodes across the face. “We will continue this later guys,” says Dibiase. The 6-man tag team match begins…not a bad match, I just won’t go into the details of the match except to say who won it-the good guys got the win when Cena double FU’ed Dibiase and Rhodes and pinned Dibiase. Mickie James and Kobi (yes I spell it this way for a reason) Kingston vs. Paul Burchill and Katie Lea..Burchill and Lea win after Burchill used a neck breaker to pin Kobi. Santino Marella is in the ring and clarifies something. He wanted to wrestle a man last week. Not someone with fallopian tubes. So guess who comes out to take up the challenge. D-Lo Brown has officially returned to the WWE. Beth Phoenix also come to ringside during the match. Lo-Down on Santino, Brown wins in a quick match. Beth comes into the ring. They tussle a little bit and then kiss in the middle of the ring. Santino leaves the ring with a confused look on his face as to what just happened. By the way, why are they jobbing out Santino anyways? I think his wit and personality are fantastic. Maybe the writers have some kind of a plan for him. CM Punk against Batista for the title. Kane comes out to ringside as well before Punk even comes to the ring. He hits Batista with a chokeslam and is taken out of the ring by the ref. Punk asks Batista if he still wants the match. Of course he does. They gave them plenty of time for the match. Some boring chants. But for what it was it wasn’t so bad. JBL comes out to stop the match just as Batista was going to pin Punk. Then Cena comes out to pound on JBL which he accidently hits Batista with a wayward punch. Batista didn’t like that so he blasts Cena. Punk is still champ. End of a lackluster show at best…. Miscellaneous items of interest: We won’t be seeing Hardcore Holly for awhile--oh well. I haven’t liked the guy for a long time, so if the reason he’s gone is because he allegedly messed with someone’s equipment or property that’s his own fault and no one else’s. Karma is a bitch. Michelle McCool apparently has some clout backstage now because she is with the Undertaker. If ya piss off the Undertaker he would probably leave and go to the TNA, so Michelle gets what she wants, hence the reason for her win for the Diva Championship (my opinion.) Natalya is a pretty decent wrestler and comes from a family of wrestlers so I guess experience and know how in the ring doesn’t count for much nowadays. Go figure, huh? Apparently Rey Mysterio is mad because he isn’t getting paid what he thinks he deserves compared to other superstars in the federation. He’s a big merchandise seller, but the WWE believes he is injury prone and they want to see how he fairs before anything is changed. Rey, Rey is a hell of a talent it’s too bad he gets injured so easily. You have to look at things from the WWE’s point of view as well though. Why fork over a ton of money on a guy that could get injured easily. A lot of time and money is put forth on some of these talents and if they get injured, the money they spent was for not. What’s going on with Ken Kennedy? He lost to Umaga in a dark match at GAB and was relegated to getting fans opinions on the Pay Per View on WWE.com. It would seem as if he is getting buried deeper and deeper into the “jabroni” ranks of the federation. Side note on an ex-WWE wrestler-The Sandman (James Fullington) was arrested at a restaurant in Yonkers for throwing glasses at employees of the establishment. When officers arrived, he started throwing glasses at them as well. According to an eyewitness, police pulled guns on him in the incident at the birthday party for (Captain) Lou Albano. Two of the officers suffered cuts on the hands and arms. He was then taken into custody and charged with second degree assault, third degree criminal mischief, second degree reckless endangerment and resisting arrest. He was taken to jail for psychiatric evaluation. I think we all saw this coming for a long time, didn’t we?
